Cashiers Valley Leaf Festival Begins Today

October 9 - 11, 2015   Cashiers Leaf Festival     Each year, the Greater Cashiers Area Merchants Association (known locally a GCAMA, or G-comma) sponsors the Cashiers Leaf Festival. This 3-day event celebrates the beauty of the season that's particularly unique to this area. 

Featuring arts and crafts from local and regional artisans, food from area restaurants, music from a variety of bands on two main stages, and activities for all ages at various locations throughout the Cashiers Valley, the Cashiers Leaf Festival serves as the centerpiece of the area's Leaf Season.

Cashiers Leaf Festival Features Mountain Arts and Crafts

October 10 - 12, 2014   Cashiers Leaf Festival   Each year, the Greater Cashiers Area Merchants Association (known locally a GCAMA, or G-comma) sponsors the Cashiers Leaf Festival. More than 100 artisans offer unique handcrafted wood, pottery, jewelry and much more on display and available for purchase throughout the weekend .

Featuring arts and crafts from local and regional artisans, food from area restaurants, music from a variety of bands on two main stages, and activities for all ages at various locations throughout the Cashiers Valley, the Cashiers Leaf Festival serves as the centerpiece of the area's Leaf Season.

June 6 - 7, 2014    Artisan League of Little Switzerland Arts and Crafts Market    Unique handcrafted gifts, including woodwork, pottery, paintings, fiber arts, journals, jewelry, photography, literary works, prints, cards and aromatherapy. Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands Begins this Week in Asheville

October 17-20   Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands    This 65th annual event includes over 200 exhibitors, craft demonstrations, and live regional music and entertainment. Both levels of Asheville's downtown Civic Center (Cellular Center) are filled with artisans selling their works of clay, fiber, glass, leather, metal, mixed media, natural materials, paper, wood and jewelry.

The Fair showcases the work of members of the Southern Highland Craft Guild and includes craft demonstrations and, beginning on Friday, local musicians performing traditional and bluegrass mountain music live on the arena stage.

Maggie Valley Labor Day Weekend Craft Show

August 31 - September 1   Maggie Valley Labor Day Weekend Craft Show   Artists and crafters from throughout the Southeast will present a variety of unique handmade crafts and jewelry. Food vendors will be available to the public. Bring a non-perishable food item to be donated to the Maggie Valley Methodist Church Food Pantry, and receive a raffle ticket so you will have a chance to win a handmade item donated by one of the talented artisans

Arts and Crafts Sale at Lake Lure's Boardwalk for the 4th of July

July 4   4th of July Celebration at Lake Lure   Enjoy a day and evening of family fun and activities from 8 AM until 10 PM. The Boardwalk Arts and Crafts Sale includes the works of local artists and crafters displaying along the Lake Lure boardwalk near the members' marina.

There will also be a Kids Zone at the Beach, Fire truck rides and temporary tattoos, Bingo at the Pavilion and a golf cart parade. The Beach Cookout, Tiki Bar at the Cabana and Ice Cream at the Cabana all open at 11 AM. Evening Dinning includes Pasta Dinner on the Terrace and a Prime Rib Buffet at Lakeview Restaurant. Take a fireworks cruise or stay on land and watch the Color Guard and Fireworks display beginning at 9:20 PM. The remarkable display over Lake Lure is considered one of the most spectacular anywhere in the mountains.

July 4    4th of July Festival in Downtown Brevard   Activities include: 5K/10K Firecracker Run, Fine Arts and Craft Showcase, All Star Pet Show, Declaration of Independence Reading, Memorial Flag Raising, Classic Automobile Show, Old Time Fair, day-long music, Kids’ Bike Parade, Hot Dog Eating Contest, inflatables, face painting, children’s activities and end the day with the wonderful July 4th Fireworks.
