Registration now open for HandMade Small Towns Summit

The Annual Gathering of Small Towns throughout Western North Carolina is scheduled for May 23, 9 AM - 3 PMStart collecting your best stories and photos of craft and culture for Show & Tell at the annual gathering held at the Reuter Center on the UNC-Asheville Campus. Wayne Martin will be featured this year to talk about new State Programs and Folklife.

There will also be
a Small Towns Jam at lunchtime, so bring your fiddles, banjos and guitars!
Agenda:
  • Featured speakers: Wayne Martin, North Carolina Arts Council, Local arts & Cultural innovators, Small Town leaders from Hayesville to West Jefferson
  • Skill building workshops on Advocacy, Marketing, and Finding Resources for Rural Craft & Culture Projects
  • Refreshments & Lunch with midday Jam Session
  • Displays, photos, videos, secrets, and stories
