Robert Morris is one of the most influential artists of the post-World War II generation. His writings and art have inspired many artists over the past 50 years. In his art he explores the nexus between the mind, body and world.
Involved in many contemporary art movements, Morris has had particular influence in Minimalism and Post-Minimalism. In the 1960s, Morris developed a large body of work, ranging from monochrome, Minimalist pieces often made of plywood, to a combination of original performance productions, to works of industrial felt.
