John C Campbell Folk School Scottish Heritage Week

September 1-7    Scottish Heritage Week at John C Campbell Folk School   Early Scotch and Scotch-Irish settlers contributed greatly to American culture, and nowhere has their influence been more strongly felt than in the Appalachians. Enjoy fascinating history and stories, and take part in lively blacksmithing, music, basketry, pottery, fiber, and wood classes. Come create savory jam and chutney, and partake of delicious pies and scones during a traditional high tea.

Painting Classes at John C Campbell Folk School

John C Campbell Folk School Welcomes Youth to Special Classes

June 16 - 22   John C Campbell holds Little/Middle Folk School week, opening its doors to young folks aged 7-17 who are eager to enjoy classes created just for them. Youths can discover Appalachian culture and take part in many hands-on arts and crafts programs.

July 14 - 20  
Intergenerational Week   Space is still available for this special week offering Youths ages 12 and up the opportunity to take classes side-by-side with a parent, grandparent, or other special relative or guardian.
