River Arts District a Highlight of Asheville's Art Community

River Arts District (RAD) is open year around.  Meet artists in their studios with schedules available online for which studios are open each day. Twice a year, every second weekend in June and November, Asheville’s entire River Arts District opens to the public for two days of festivities known as the STUDIO STROLL. During the Studio Stroll, now in its 16th year, artists of the River Arts District welcome you into their studios to talk with them, see their latest artwork, watch demonstrations, and experience for yourself the magic hidden inside the time-worn factories and warehouses along the French Broad River.

More than 160 artists
currently work in the District in all media. In addition to viewing artwork and watching demonstrations art and crafts are available for purchase.
