Rachel Eager Featured Artist at the Asheville Art Museum Shop

After discovering a strong passion for design, Rachel Eager began creating handbags in 2010. All of Rachel's bags and clutches are handcrafted in the artist's Asheville-based studio using carefully selected fabrics that are both unique and beautiful. Rachel's goal is to provide customers with a luxury item that is affordable, yet timeless in style.

NC Arts Council Endorses Exhibit with Grant

The Blowing Rock Art and History Museum (BRAHM) has been awarded a $5,000 Arts and Audiences Grant from the North Carolina Arts Council for one of the Museum’s grand opening exhibits: “Elliott Daingerfield: Art and Life in North Carolina.” The decision to support the BRAHM project during the state's ongoing fiscal crisis -- which resulted in a 15% budget cut for the Arts Council -- makes the grant even more significant.

Film Screening today and tomorrow at the Asheville Art Museum

This 1969 multi-award nominated film by Sydney Pollock still packs a punch in its unblinking view of Depression-era life, the time period that spawned the federal Works Progress Administration. Starring Jane Fonda, Gig Young and Susannah York. Held in conjunction with Artists at Work: American Printmakers and the WPA.
