Summer enrollment is clicking along and a number of classes are filled, but there are classes in every studio that have open spaces (yes, that includes glass and clay). Here is a list of everything that's currently open which will be updated weekly. Keep checking even if the class you want is currently full, ast there are cancellations. Also, after May 1, you can have your name added to a class waiting list without paying a processing fee. Enrolment continues until a class is full or until it's underway--no penalty for signing up at the last minute.Early-summer classes with open spaces include a fascinating oil painting class taught by Matthew Lopas in which students will learn to depict a 360-degree space on a flat canvas. Interestingly, our third-session photography class (which also has open spaces) will cover the same concept but in the medium of digital photography. That class will be taught by Dan Bailey. We should be seeing some interesting depictions of Penland spaces this summer.
