Asheville's Kenilworth Art Studio Tour this Memorial Day Weekend

May 24 - 25   Kenilworth Art Studio Tour   Twenty-two artists invite you into eleven neighborhood studios & galleries. Browse and/or purchase original artwork. Kenilworth Artists Association is a community of artists in one of Asheville's oldest neighborhoods, with a lovely mix of grand homes, modest bungalows and mature gardens. Over forty aspiring and professional artists live in the five square mile neighborhood just minutes from downtown. 

Each year, many of these artists open their doors to the public for a festive tour that attracts shoppers and art lovers alike. 10 AM - 5 PM both days.

The Artisans Gallery's online store is stocked with lots of great handmade items that you can order from your computer or mobile device. Just go to StecoahGallery.com  and browse through dozens of products including prints and paintings, wood products, pottery, soaps and textiles. More are being added weekly. And all your purchases directly benefit artisan entrepreneurs and Stecoah Valley Cultural Arts Center.

Annual Saluda Arts Festival this Weekend

May 17     Saluda Arts Festival   This year's annual festival will include almost 90 artists and craftspeople, lively and award winning music, the children's art tent, several art and craft demonstrators and delicious food from our local restaurants.

The festival also pays tribute this year to the late artist Johnny Waddill with a special exhibit displaying his work during the festival at the Saluda Center, 64 Greenville St., Saluda, NC.

Art in the Park Begins for the Season this Weekend in Blowing Rock NC

May 17    Art in the Park   A juried arts and craft show featuring 90 artists held in the picturesque downtown park in Blowing Rock once a month from May through October. May 1, 2014 at Heartwood Gallery, 21 East Main Street in historic downtown Saluda NC: Spring hours begin this Friday May 2, with the Gallery / Shop open until 7 PM on Friday and Saturday evenings. Stop by after work, visiting the Saluda Market or an outdoor adventure in the Gorge or on the Green River to pick up a special wedding gift, add to your mug collection, or purchase your Mother's Day jewelry.

In time for spring gardening, there is a new selection of unique, handcrafted garden art. Gardening, like art, feeds the soul and connects us to our home on the earth. Celebrate yours with the addition of art, beautiful or whimsical.

Francis Metal  Works

Francis Metal Works 

Francis Metal Works is the collaboration of  Charles Adams and Thomas Windhalm. They have married their love of gardening and metal work to create these unique sculptures inspired by the world's greatest water sanctuaries. Handcrafted from iron and Minnesota field stones, these sculptures will add a touch of serenity to any environment.




Stephen Fabrico
 


Artist Stephen Fabrico constructs birdhouses, bird feeders and outdoor mobiles in porcelain clay with nature inspired etchings and glazes. Each piece is reinforced with a steel cable hanger, making them functional and beautiful.

Husband & wife team John and Heather Zondervan work together in their metal studio on the family farm in rural Ontario, Canada.. Since 1996 they have developed a broad range of artistic work, from indoor home decor to garden art. This collection of botanical metal work is all made of rusted steel. They are designed for year round outdoor use.
