May 11 7PM Gaither Chapel on the Montreat College campus, Black Mountain. Dr. Bill Forstchen, New York Times best-selling author and long-time Professor of History at Montreat College, will give a lecture and host a book signing for his latest bestseller, One Second After. Admission is free, the event is open to the community, and copies of One Second After will be available for purchase after the lecture. One Second After is set in Montreat, NC and the Swannanoa Valley and chronicles the plight of United States citizens after a powerful weapon known as an Electro Magnetic Pulse (EMP) is detonated in the atmosphere, destroying or disabling electronic equipment across the nation. One Second After has climbed to #11 on the New York Times bestseller list since its release in mid-March 2009.

Montreat College is a Christ-centered liberal arts institution with its main campus for four-year traditional students in Montreat.
