June 18-21 The Black Mountain Center for the Arts. A special event of art and flowers. The artwork in the gallery, which is on loan from regional galleries, will be complemented by interpretations of flowers by area floral designers. The fragility of the flowers dictates that the show will only last a few days. There are several ticketed events, which is a fundraiser for our local non-profit Arts Center. A Gala Preview Party on Thursday, June 18, a local garden tour on Fri/Sat. June 19-20, an Ikebana demonstration and afternoon tea on Fri. June 19, a special gardening presentation on “Best Garden Plants for NC” with author Pam Beck, followed by a book signing on Sat, June 20, and a show of the garden tour plain air painters work on Sunday, June 21.
