In conjunction with American Craft Week and East of Asheville Studio Tour, Black Mountain Studios are having their first annual Fine American Crafts for Clunkers Program:
What it is: a fundraiser to raise awareness for American Crafts, to raise funds for CERF+, Craft Emergency Relief fund, and to have FUN!
How it works: you bring your mass-produced clunker mug (which will be donated to the VA hospital) to Black Mountain Studios (626 Old Lytle Cove Road, Swannanoa, NC 28778) and give a donation of $10-20 and receive a hand crafted mug. Then, you can get your picture taken as a "mug shot" which will be posted on their facebook page and fans will vote on their favorite. Prizes will be awarded for the funniest, best and scariest mug shots. For more information, email Black Mountain Studios.
