Each winter, Penland School of Crafts offers the opportunity to work independently in the teaching studios, with a small but lively community of staff members, residents, and renters. The books, clay, glass, iron, metals, photo, textiles, and wood studios are available in January and February--the letterpress and print studios are available in February. Housing is also available.
