Fabric Theme at Thomas Wolfe "2nd Saturday" in Asheville Today

July 10 in Asheville North Carolina -  2nd Saturdays: Thomas Wolfe Memorial: "FABRICating the Past"  the evolution of textile manufacturing from pre-industrial to highly mechanized age of water/steam powered textile mills, and mass consumption of ready made goods by the early 20th century. Clothing and textiles from the Museum's collection will be featured and contemporary and traditional textile artisans -- weavers, spinners, fabic dyers, and others will participate.
