Penland School of Crafts is a national center for craft education dedicated to helping people live creative lives. Penland offers one, two and eight-week workshops in books & paper, clay, drawing, glass, iron, metals, photography, printmaking and letterpress, textiles, and wood. The school, located in Penland NC ( near Spruce Pine) also offers artists' residencies, community collaboration programs, and a gallery and information center.

Penland Scholarship Application Deadlines Approaching
Scholarship and studio assistantship applications for summer classes at Penland School of Crafts must be received by Friday, February 25; applicants will be notified by March 31. Don't walk - RUN! If you get a chance to go to Penland you'll find it's a fantastic (some say life altering) experience. Everyday you are immersed in your craft while being surrounded by talented, supportive, creative people. The energy is high, and you will accomplish a lot. The food is pretty darn good too!
