February 17 by 5 PM - Applications for summer scholarships and studio assistantships are due at Penland School of Craft. These applications must be mailed (keep in mind that, depending on your location, overnight services may not actually deliver to Penland overnight). Complete information about scholarships is here. If you are applying as a full-paying student, the deadline to have your application included in the early-registration lottery is 5:00 PM on Friday, February 10. You may apply by mail, fax, or online using our electronic registration form. Most of our classes do not fill through the lottery, and we continue accepting students until the classes begin, so there's plenty of time to enroll in a summer class, but if you've already decided, you'll want to get that application to us by February 10.
