Sue Grier's Pottery Artist Reception

January 15, 5:30 - 8:00 PM at Beverly-Hanks Discovery Center in Biltmore Park Town Square, 1 Town Square Blvd, Asheville NC -  HandMade in America invites all to pottery artist Sue Grier's Artist Reception.

Sue is originally from New Mexico where she studied oil and arcrylic painting at New Mexico State University. After moving to South Carolina 20 years ago, she began to pursue her interest in clay. For years she worked in Columbia, SC as a production potter, attending workshops at Arrowmont and Penland. Sue had considered herself a self-taught potter until 2004 when she decided to attend Clemson University to pursue a MFA. After graduating, she took a part-time position teaching ceramics at Clemson where she taught for 6 years.
Sue Grier currently lives in Leicester, NC, where she has her studio and focuses on one-of-a-kind functional and decrotative pieces.
