Call for Artists for Pisgah Forest Studio-Gallery
The Patton House property located at the entrance of the Pisgah National Forest behind Dolly's Ice Cream is looking for a group of artists to rent and set up an artists studio and gallery.
The space is 4800 sq, ft. site and is a permanent artistic residence. The 8 bedrooms and large gathering room would provide plenty of display space for artistic creations. Also, if anyone would like to live on the premises for the group, that is also possible.

The Center for Craft Creativity and Design Announces 2015 Windgate Museum Internship Host Institutions - applications now open for interns
The Center for Craft, Creativity and; Design (CCCD) is pleased to announce the 10th Windgate Museum Internship call for applications. This opportunity provides $5,000 stipends to four nationally selected undergraduate or graduate students to work under the direction of curators or directors in decorative arts or contemporary craft collections, exhibitions and/or programs.
The goal of these internships is to support and expand the number of future curators with education and interest in contemporary craft. After reviewing applications from a diverse and compelling group of museums, CCCD is pleased to announce the 2015 Windgate Museum Internship Host Institutions: High Museum of Art, Maryland Institute College of Art (Decker Gallery), The Milwaukee Art Museum, The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston.

Open Call for Fine Artists and Mountain Crafters 18th Annual Greening Up the Mountains Festival
Greening Up the Mountains Festival, which brought between 10,000 to 12,000 people to the mountain town of Sylva NC last year, is now inviting fine artists, mountain crafters and food vendors to apply for a booth in it’s18th year as the premiere spring festival for Western North Carolina.
On April 25, 2015 from 10 AM to 5 PM the festival, sponsored by the Town of Sylva, will once again take place in downtown Sylva. The event includes demonstrating visual artists and traditional crafters supported by a mountain community which honors its artisans and natural environment.
Daylong events will be held on Main Street and in the Bridge Park, beginning with a 5K race sponsored by the Jackson County Recreation/Parks Department. Children’s activities, demonstrations, a youth talent contest and live performances by a wide variety of Jackson County musicians will be featured throughout the day.
