ColorFest is Looking for Fine Artists and Crafters

Colorfest, a Dillsboro Fine Arts & Crafts Fair, is looking for artists of all media to participate in this 6th annual fine art festival to be held on October 4, 2014 in the historic town of Dillsboro, NC. Regional fine artists and crafters are encouraged to apply.
 
Within the colors of autumn, the town of Dillsboro will welcome visitors to this walk-about town where the artisans will be displaying their works. ColorFest participants will be showcased in a new format for this year's festival, in which they will be set up continuously and conveniently directly on Front Street. Church Street will be sectioned off for food booths. 
 
Interacting with the public from 10 AM until 4 PM on October 4,  artisans have the opportunity to show how their art is created as well as selling their artwork.

This year cash prizes, sponsored by Champion Credit Union, will be awarded to the artisans. Categories:  First place for fine art $100; Second place for fine art $50. First place for fine craft $100; second place for fine craft. Best of Show—Booth $150.

ColorFest, Dillsboro Fine Arts & Crafts Fair, is produced by the Dillsboro Merchants Association, in partnership with Jackson County Chamber of Commerce. This project received support from the Jackson County Arts Council, North Carolina Arts Council, a division of the Department of Cultural Resources, with funding from the National Endowment for the Arts.

PlottFest Seeks Artisans and Craft Demonstrators

PlottFest celebrates it's second annual festival with the best in mountain music, American Plott Association and National Plott Association sanctioned Bench Dog Shows, and the Smoky Mountain Trout Festival. All profits from the Festival will Benefit Head Start of Haywood and Jackson Counties.

The Festival is currently seeking artists, crafters and craft demonstrators to participate in the event. PlottFest will be held at the Maggie Valley Fairgrounds in the heart of Maggie Valley on June 22-23, 2013.

One of the highlights of the event is a mountain music festival celebrating WNC's heritage. Some of the popular musicians performing include Balsam Range, the Darren Nicholson Band, Eddie Rose & Highway 40 and Mark & Amy Bumgarne.
