64th Annual Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands this week

July 21 - 24    64th Annual Craft Fair of the Southern Highlands   This bi-annual event is one of the largest and most notable craft fairs in the southeast. The Craft Fair is held each July and October at the Asheville Civic Auditorium, drawing 1000s of visitors from across the country since the Fair began in 1948

Enjoy exhibitors, demonstrations and entertainment. More than 200 craftspeople fill the two levels of the center with a diversity unlike any other craft show. Works range from centuries old traditions to the latest in contemporary techniques and materials, and include clay, fiber, glass, leather, metal, mixed media, natural materials, paper, wood and jewelry.
Local musicians share their love of traditional and bluegrass mountain music live on the arena stage. Get a complete schedule or performances here.

All exhibitors are members of the Southern Highlands Craft Guild a non-profit, educational organization established in 1930 to bring together the crafts and craftspeople of the Southern Highlands for the benefit of shared resources, education, marketing and conservation. The Craft Fairs are one of the ways in which the Guild fulfills its mission.
