A Fall Workshop Preview:
September 25 - November 18 - Observational Drawing Intensive with Janet Link Drawing is fundamental to art: it is a vehicle for thought, understanding, and expression. This class will help beginning students gain basic observational drawing skills and more experienced students expand their knowledge. We will study a variety of subject matter and consider the design and content of our pictures. Each student will plan and create a body of work with the aim of establishing an independent drawing practice. Click here to visit instructor Janet Link's website.

Penland's eight-week fall and spring concentrations are an unmatched opportunity in craft education: almost as long as a college semester, with the intensity of a total-immersion workshop. This is a great time to settle into the studio and make great strides in your work.  Click here to for more information and to check out our complete lineup of classes for the next year!
