In celebration of American Craft Week, a national event taking place from October 7th through October 16th, HandMade in America will be exhibiting a show highlighting the diverse talent of the craft artists of western North Carolina. This exhibition is to be on display in the HandMade offices from September 29th until the beginning of November. Requirements:
To submit work for exhibition you must be listed on our Craft Registry, and live/work in one of the 22 Western North Carolina counties we service. If you are not registered or need to know our service area, please visit www.handmadeinamerica.org. Joining our registry is free and open to anyone working in the field of craft in western North Carolina.
Exhibit entries are due by Friday, September 2nd. Work must be available for exhibition from September 23rd through Wednesday, November 9th. HandMade is seeking quality, innovative, hand made work by local western North Carolina craft artists. We are searching for both traditional and contemporary craft works. Artists may submit images of up to three pieces of work for consideration. Submissions should include no more than two images of each piece for a maximum of six images total. Images should be submitted digitally, either as jpegs or put together in Power Point with a dpi of at least 300. Please be sure to include a completed entry form with your submission Exhibition Entry Form. If you would like your materials returned, please include a self-addressed stamped envelope.
